These terms govern your use of AnyDough, including anydough.com, our public recipe pages, embeds, profiles, account features, uploads, bake plans and related services.

By using the service, creating an account, or submitting content, you agree to these terms.

Who can use the service

You must use the service lawfully and only if you are able to form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.

You are responsible for the activity that happens through your account or sign-in methods.

Accounts, handles and profile details

When you create an account, we may automatically assign you a unique public handle. You may be allowed to change that handle subject to our product rules and availability checks.

Handles must remain unique. Current and historical handles may be reserved, including after account deletion, moderation action or suspension.

You must not impersonate another person, brand or organisation or use a handle that infringes rights or is misleading.

Your content

You retain ownership of the recipes, images, descriptions and other content you create, to the extent the law allows.

By uploading, saving or publishing content through AnyDough, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, display, distribute and make that content available as needed to operate, improve, secure, moderate and promote the service.

This licence includes processing public recipe content for public recipe pages, embeds, thumbnails, responsive variants, search surfaces, moderation, and related product features.

Public recipes, drafts and moderation

Recipes may move through different states such as draft, review and published. Not everything you create is public by default.

If you publish or otherwise make content public, it may become visible on public pages, profile pages, embeds, previews and other discovery surfaces.

We may review, refuse, move back to review, unpublish, remove or otherwise moderate content where needed to enforce our rules, protect users, comply with law, or maintain the quality and safety of the platform.

What you must not do
  • Break the law or encourage others to do so.

  • Upload or publish content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, infringing, misleading, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful.

  • Infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights.

  • Attempt to access accounts, data, APIs or systems without permission.

  • Interfere with the service, scrape it abusively, distribute malware, spam users, or automate misuse at scale.

  • Use another person's identity, brand or likeness in a misleading way.

Recipe accuracy, allergens and food safety

AnyDough is an information and publishing platform. Recipes, timings, temperatures, hydration figures, notes and other content may be contributed by users and may not be complete, accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

You are responsible for checking allergens, ingredients, fermentation conditions, baking temperatures, food handling and general kitchen safety before relying on any recipe.

We do not provide medical, nutritional, food safety or professional baking advice.

Uploads and media

If you upload avatars, recipe images or other files, you must have the right to do so.

We may generate cropped, resized or other processed variants of uploaded media to operate the service. Public recipe images may become publicly accessible when the associated recipe is published.

AI-assisted features

If AnyDough offers AI-assisted recipe, instruction or image features, those features are provided as optional tools. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable, and you remain responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use them.

We may send relevant prompts or content to our AI service providers where needed to provide such features.

Third-party services

Parts of the service may rely on third-party providers such as sign-in providers, hosting, file storage, analytics, anti-abuse services, email delivery and AI services.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or policies of third-party services, except as required by law.

Suspension, blocking and termination

We may suspend, block, restrict or terminate access to the service if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, created risk for users or the platform, or where we are required to do so by law or security needs.

A block does not necessarily delete your content. In some cases, published recipes may remain visible, be moved back to review, or be removed depending on the moderation action taken.

Account deletion

If you delete your account, we may delete drafts, private account data, linked sessions and personal files. Published recipes may remain online under a generic Deleted user attribution so that public links do not immediately break.

Current and historical handles may remain reserved after account deletion.

Intellectual property and complaints

The AnyDough service, branding, design and software remain our property or the property of our licensors unless stated otherwise.

If you believe content on the service infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail for us to investigate.

Availability and changes

We may change, improve, limit or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every feature will always remain available.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an as is and as available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not promise that user-generated content, public profiles, moderation outcomes, bake schedules or AI-assisted outputs will always be accurate, complete, suitable or available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, business opportunity or reputation arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory law in your place of residence requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
