Terms and conditions
Last updated: 4 May 2026These terms govern your use of AnyDough, including anydough.com, the AnyDough app, public recipe pages, embeds, profiles, account features, recipe creation tools, uploads, bake plans, shopping and affiliate surfaces, AI-assisted features and related services.
By using the service, creating an account, submitting content, publishing a recipe, copying an embed, or using an AI-assisted feature, you agree to these terms.
These terms are not a substitute for professional legal advice. If you operate AnyDough commercially or rely on these terms for compliance, you should have them reviewed by qualified counsel.
Who can use the service
You must use the service lawfully and only if you are able to form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.
AnyDough is not intended for children below the age required in their country to consent to online services.
You are responsible for the activity that happens through your account, sign-in methods, devices and integrations.
Accounts, handles and profile details
When you create an account, we may automatically assign you a unique public handle. You may be allowed to change that handle subject to our product rules and availability checks.
Handles must remain unique. Current and historical handles may be reserved, including after account deletion, moderation action or suspension, to reduce impersonation risk and protect existing links.
You must not impersonate another person, brand or organisation, use a misleading handle, or claim a right you do not have.
Your content
You retain ownership of the recipes, images, descriptions, notes, prompts, source links and other content you create or submit, to the extent the law allows.
By uploading, saving, submitting or publishing content through AnyDough, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, translate, process, display, distribute and make that content available as needed to operate, improve, secure, moderate, promote and support the service.
This licence includes processing public recipe content for public recipe pages, embeds, thumbnails, responsive image variants, search, profile pages, sitemaps, structured data, moderation, analytics, translation and related product features.
You must have the rights needed to submit the content and to grant this licence. Do not submit private, confidential, sensitive or third-party content unless you have permission and are comfortable with how the feature works.
Public recipes, embeds and sharing
Recipes may move through states such as draft, review, published, archived and revision. Not everything you create is public by default.
If you publish or otherwise make content public, it may become visible on public pages, profile pages, embeds, previews, sitemaps, search surfaces and other discovery features.
Public recipe links, copied embeds and shared previews may continue to be accessed, cached, indexed or referenced by third parties after publication. Removing content from AnyDough may not remove copies already made by others.
Drafts, moderation and publication
Drafts may be incomplete or invalid while you are editing them. AnyDough may allow drafts to be saved before they are ready to publish.
We may review, refuse, move back to review, unpublish, archive, remove, relabel or otherwise moderate content where needed to enforce these terms, protect users, comply with law, respond to complaints, or maintain the quality and safety of the platform.
Moderation and AI-generated labels are product signals, not guarantees. A label may be missing, delayed, incomplete or based on information available to us at the time.
AI-generated and AI-assisted content
Some recipes, descriptions, instructions, translations, images, prompts, summaries or other content on AnyDough may be generated by, edited with, translated by, or otherwise assisted by artificial intelligence. This includes content created by AnyDough, by administrators, by users, or through third-party AI providers.
AI-assisted outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, unsafe, biased, repetitive, unsuitable for your ingredients, equipment, allergies, dietary needs, skill level, climate, altitude or local food rules, and may not reflect the latest information.
You are responsible for reviewing, testing, correcting and deciding whether to use any AI-assisted output before relying on it, publishing it, serving it to others, or using it in a kitchen.
We may mark known AI-generated recipes or outputs, but you should assume that any content on the service could contain mistakes and should be independently checked.
Recipe accuracy, calculator output and food safety
AnyDough is an information, publishing and recipe-calculation platform. Recipes, quantities, baker's percentages, hydration figures, timings, temperatures, fermentation guidance, schedules, shopping lists, nutrition-style notes, method steps and other content may be user-generated, AI-assisted, automatically calculated, translated or based on third-party information.
We do not guarantee that any recipe, calculation, conversion, schedule, reminder, image, instruction, ingredient, marketplace link or public comment is complete, accurate, safe, available, suitable or successful.
Ingredients, flour behaviour, yeast strength, water absorption, room temperature, oven performance, altitude, humidity, equipment, substitutions and user input can materially change recipe results.
You are solely responsible for checking allergens, cross-contamination risks, ingredient suitability, dietary restrictions, nutrition claims, food handling, storage, fermentation, cooking temperatures, choking or burn risks, equipment safety and local food rules before relying on any recipe.
AnyDough does not provide medical, nutritional, food safety, commercial bakery, professional catering or allergen advice. If a recipe is wrong, unsafe, unsuccessful, wastes ingredients, causes illness, injury, property damage or other loss, your use of it remains at your own risk except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Bake plans, schedules and reminders
Bake plans, timelines and schedules are planning aids only. They may be affected by your inputs, device settings, timezone, notification permissions, browser or app behaviour, network availability and later recipe changes.
You should not rely on AnyDough reminders as the only safety or timing control for fermentation, cooking, storage or any other time-sensitive food process.
Uploads and media
If you upload avatars, recipe images or other files, you must have the right to do so and the files must comply with these terms.
We may generate cropped, resized, optimised or otherwise processed variants of uploaded media to operate the service. Public recipe images may become publicly accessible when the associated recipe is published.
Do not upload media containing private information, people who have not consented, unlawful material, or anything you are not comfortable being processed by our storage, moderation, display and delivery systems.
Affiliate links, shopping and third-party purchases
AnyDough may show ingredient shopping lists, marketplace links, affiliate links or sponsored disclosures. These links are provided for convenience and may earn AnyDough a commission at no extra cost to you.
We do not sell ingredients directly through AnyDough unless a separate checkout feature says otherwise. Third-party marketplaces, sellers, delivery providers and payment providers are responsible for their own products, prices, availability, fulfilment, refunds, safety information and policies.
You are responsible for checking product labels, allergens, substitutions, quantities, seller reliability, shipping terms and total cost before buying or using any ingredient or product.
Third-party services and links
Parts of the service may rely on third-party providers such as sign-in providers, hosting, databases, file storage, content delivery, email delivery, analytics, anti-abuse services, AI services, translation services, app platforms and marketplace sites.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability limits and content rules. We are not responsible for the content, products, availability, accuracy, security or policies of third-party services except as required by law.
What you must not do
Break the law or encourage others to do so.
Upload, generate, publish or share content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, infringing, misleading, hateful, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, unsafe, spammy, or otherwise harmful.
Publish recipes, images, prompts or AI outputs that you know or should know are unsafe, deceptive, stolen, malicious, or falsely presented as professionally verified.
Infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, data protection or other rights.
Attempt to access accounts, data, APIs, storage buckets, admin areas or systems without permission.
Interfere with the service, scrape it abusively, distribute malware, spam users, manipulate analytics, bypass moderation, evade rate limits, or automate misuse at scale.
Use another person's identity, brand, recipe, image, likeness, handle or confidential information in a misleading or unauthorised way.
Use the service for regulated professional advice, emergency guidance, food business compliance, medical nutrition therapy, or other high-risk decisions without qualified human review.
Suspension, blocking and termination
We may suspend, block, restrict, rate-limit or terminate access to the service if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, created risk for users or the platform, interfered with service operation, or where we are required to do so by law, security needs, provider rules or moderation decisions.
A block or account restriction does not necessarily delete your content. In some cases, published recipes may remain visible, be moved back to review, be attributed differently, or be removed depending on the moderation action taken.
Account deletion
If you delete your account, we may delete or disconnect sign-in access, sessions, linked accounts, drafts, private recipes, schedules, follows, favourites, personal settings, private files and similar account-level data.
Published recipes may remain online under a generic Deleted user attribution so that public recipe links do not immediately break. Current and historical handles may remain reserved after account deletion.
Some records may be retained where reasonably needed for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, moderation history, dispute handling, backups, public content integrity or other legitimate operational reasons.
Intellectual property and complaints
The AnyDough service, branding, design, software, data models, templates, page layouts, icons and non-user content remain our property or the property of our licensors unless stated otherwise.
If you believe content on the service infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail for us to investigate, including the relevant URL, the rights you claim, your contact details and the action you request.
We may remove or restrict content while we investigate rights, safety, moderation, privacy or legal complaints.
Availability and changes
We may change, improve, limit, suspend, remove or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent storage, successful backups, continuous publication, or that every feature will always remain available.
Features may be experimental, beta, admin-only, unavailable in some regions, or dependent on third-party providers.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an as is and as available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory.
We do not promise that user-generated content, AI-generated or AI-assisted output, translated content, public profiles, recipe calculations, bake schedules, shopping links, moderation outcomes, embeds, emails, notifications, media files or third-party services will be accurate, complete, safe, timely, suitable, lawful, available or error-free.
Your reliance on any recipe, instruction, AI output, calculation, schedule, shopping link or other content is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, business opportunity, reputation, ingredients, time, content, access, or expected results arising from your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for illness, injury, allergic reaction, failed bakes, wasted ingredients, equipment damage, property damage, business interruption, missed reminders, unsafe food handling, or other loss caused by relying on recipes, AI-assisted content, user-generated content, calculations, translations, schedules, third-party products or marketplace links.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
Indemnity
Where the law allows, you agree to reimburse and protect us from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these terms, your content, your unlawful use of the service, your infringement of another person's rights, or your misuse of recipes, AI outputs, uploads, embeds or third-party services.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory law in your place of residence requires otherwise.
If a dispute arises, the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect product, legal or operational changes. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the service, by email, or by other reasonable means.
Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
