Baking challenges

Quests are simple baking challenges

Start one when you want an idea for what to bake next. Use your own recipes, keep them private while you practise, and share only the bakes you are happy with.

Quick answer

Choose something to bake

A Quest gives you a short list of bakes to try.

Use your own recipes

Drafts and in-review recipes can count while you are still practising.

Share when ready

Public recipes can help Baker levels, but you do not have to publish to practise.

What a Quest is

A challenge you control

Choose a bake, use your own recipes, and share only the ones you like.

How it works

How Quests work

A Quest gives you a few bakes to work through. You can keep everything private while you practise, then publish selected recipes if you want to share them.

Step 1
Choose a Quest

Pick a challenge such as a dough style, method, book bake, or seasonal idea.

Step 2
Bake the recipes

Work through the bakes yourself. It is not a race.

Step 3
Add notes and photos

Keep enough detail so you remember what happened and what you would change.

Step 4
Share when ready

Publishing is optional. Public Quest recipes can be shared with others and can also help your Baker level.

Step 5
Get the badge

Complete the Quest with linked recipes to unlock its badge.

Available Quests

Each Quest has its own page, a Start Quest button, and recipe steps you can work through privately.

How it feels

Choose, bake, note, maybe share

A Quest gives you a reason to bake something specific. You can keep it private, and any recipe you do publish still counts like a normal public recipe.

How they fit

Quests and Baker levels are separate

You can finish a Quest privately. If you publish a Quest recipe, it can help your Baker level because it is still a normal public recipe.

Publishing is optional

When a Quest recipe is public and published, it can help your Baker level just like any other public recipe.

Badges are for challenges

A Quest badge shows that you finished that challenge. It does not raise your limits on its own.

Badges stay tied to recipes

If you archive or remove a linked Quest recipe, the badge waits until you restore it or link another recipe.

Baker levels

Baker levels grow from recipes that are currently public and published, including any Quest recipes you choose to share.
